Indian Super League 2016 -- What's new ...

Like every season, The Hero Indian Super League will have some new things for a change. Let’s take a look at the 5 new things which the season 3 of the Hero ISL will have.




New Marquees: The season 3 will see superstars of world football like Diego Forlan, Eidur Gudjohnsen, Aaron Hughes in action as marquee players.
Here goes the teams of the new marquee players:
1. Diego Forlan (Mumbai City FC)
2. Eidur Gudjohnsen (FC Pune City)
3. Aaron Hughes (Kerala Blasters)
4. Didier Zakora (NorthEast United)
5. John Arne Riise (Chennaiyin FC)
  

New Managers: The season 3 will witness five new marquee managers. Check out who are they:
1. Steve Coppell (Kerala Blasters)
2. Jose Molina (Atletico de Kolkata)
3. Gianluca Zambrotta (Delhi Dynamos)
4. Alexandre Guimaraes (Mumbai City FC)
5. Nelo Vingada (NorthEast United)
New Theme Song: The theme song of the tournament “Come on India, let’s football” has a new version and the fans are loving the beats and the rhythm of it. Every season, the charm of this theme song gets so popular that the football lovers uses it in their caller tunes and sing tones. The trend pretends to be the same in this season as well.

Pre-Season training:
This has been the maiden season among the last three editions, when all the eight franchises have decided to do their pre-season on abroad, including Kerala Blasters who opted to have their preseason at home in the last two editions. Let’s take a look at the teams and the preseason venues:

New Home: With the Salt Lake Stadium under renovation for next year’s FIFA under-17 World Cup in India, Atletico de Kolkata have opted to play their home games at the newly refurbished Rabindra Sarobar Stadium.

Mumbai City FC will also play their home games this season at a new venue after settling for the Mumbai Football Arena, or the Andheri Sports Complex as it is popularly known. The last FIFA International Friendly between India and Puerto Rico was a “curtain raiser” as the energetic crowd and brilliant facilities promised to have a great ISL season ahead for Mumbai City FC.
